Oh my! Is it time to blog again? Where did the time go? What risks did I take?
Here are a few:
1) I risked embarrassment by bearing my soul to some of my colleagues.
2) Instead of being my usual accommodating self, I risked being harshly assessed by telling three of my students they could not change their lesson times after they’ve already given me their schedules.
3) I risked looking weak by admitting to some friends that I’ve been mildly depressed for the past few months.
4) I risked being labeled as “out there” in one of my classes by teaching about the spirituality of Yoga.
5) I risked getting hurt by reaching out to a family member with whom there are issues.
6) I risked feeling regretful by going back to belly dancing classes this week after an eight-month hiatus.
7) I risked making an appointment with a Medical Intuitive in hopes of some metaphysical guidance on some physical ailments.
All in all, not a bad month and I’m grateful for a place to publicly document these accomplishments (and by accomplishments, I mean the risk taking and not the outcome). However, if you look closely between the letters, words and lines, there are spaces, that, to me, represent the risks I did not take. Also in those spaces are all my feelings regarding the risks, both taken and not taken. One of the gifts from my growing awareness of risk taking is realizing that I have the freedom to choose what risks to take, where and when to take them and how much I want to say about them. Me and Kenny Rogers….we have a lot in common these days.
Kitty Karn risked it ALL and moved to the cornfields of West Central Illinois where she found her dream man and her dream job. She can hardly wait to see what the Universe has in store for the rest of her life and is even more excited to see what happens on everyone else's journeys!! Let's share in each other's joys and sorrows.

Good job Kitty! Your riskiness is hopefully infectious.
Yes, it is, Micki – you are right! Thanks for this post, Kitty. I continue to be reminded by you and the others, that there must have been some divine guidance in my choosing who to ask to join me here…
Thanks Ladies!! I am realizing more and more what at gift it is to be contributing!
