Like Laura’s post from Monday, I too had to change my post after Sunday evening. I, too, have thought a lot about delight in the past 24 hours. I’ve had an abundance of gifts thrown my way the past week – many quite unexpected.

I’ve grown enough to be aware of the gifts pretty close to the time they arrive (the ‘good’ ones and the ‘bad’ ones – and there’s been both this past week). I’ve even grown enough to know that I create them – I’ve done my work, I’ve directed my energy and I am reaping the benefits.

So, what’s the next risk? The next risk is to powerfully language my accomplishments, my magic (I cringe a bit even writing that word), my POWER. I can say it to myself (sometimes), I can say it to my coach (sometimes), I can say it to certain friends (sometimes), I can say it to my husband (sometimes). Sometimes, I even actually believe it.

When my coach challenged me today to phrase a ‘gift’ in more powerful terms, I was stuck. I honestly didn’t know how to start, my palms got sweaty, my heart pounded a bit. But then I dove in….and I stumbled….and I kept going….and suddenly it all flowed easily and powerfully like the truth that it is.

Now, there is still work to do in the catching of the less-than-powerful Veronica telling a small story – but I know that work, I’m getting really good at it, and it doesn’t so much feel like a risk anymore.

What feels quite risky to me is to tell my powerful Veronica story, share my big life, OUT LOUD. To the ones I know will accept it, yes. But to push myself to share a little bit more with those I am unsure of how they will react.

As a gift. Since I have received so many – I have so many to give.
