What Do Your “Innerds” Have To Say?

| March 20, 2010 | 2 Comments

A few months ago, I wrote about taking the risk of going on yet another food plan. Up until now, I’ve been on 799,000 of them, give or take a few, so it pleases me to report that on this one, it’s “so far, so good.”  I’m a little bored, but it’s taking me at least a part of the way I want to go, so that’s a plus.

Last night, I decided to add another component to the mix in the quest to be “Fit and Fab at 50,” which happens in December of this year.  Normally, I wouldn’t add more on to something that is already a challenge for me.  But this piece I think will actually help me stay the course, and also glean even more meaning out of the process.

The additional component is a 28-day program called the Soul Coaching Health Program, based on the work of Denise Linn (and a book called “Unlock the Secret Messages of Your Body.”  The fact that it only lasts 28 days is a big plus, believe me, but there are others, too.  One is that it’s called an Inner Cleansing System.  Cool, huh?  It’s not about what I should or shouldn’t eat, or about getting to the gym 14 times a week, but about something much deeper.  It’s about me and my relationship to my body.  Now there’s a relationship that has been on the rocks a time or two!

Another thing that I like about it is that each of the 4 weeks of the program is based on an element, either Air, Water, Fire or Earth, and the associated energies of that element, Mental, Emotional, Spiritual or Physical (respectively). I am excited about embarking on this deeper way of looking at things because I think it will help me to see my food plan as a part of my bigger goal, and because I think it goes so nicely with my current spiritual practices and beliefs.  I am sure it will stretch me, but I don’t think it will make me want to run screaming.  Or at least I hope this is true!

So I started today, and by the time I check in on the 20th of next month, my “innerds” should be all cleansed!  I’ll certainly let you know how it goes. And here’s a question for you: Is there a component you can add to something you are doing that will enhance it for you, make it richer, or even easier? I ‘d love to hear…

Until next time, my “innerds” say, “Happy Spring!”  What are yours saying to you?

YES, YES, YES!! This is exactly the thing I’ve been looking for, Laura. Would pass along more information? A book title? An internet sight? Whatever. I love Denise Linn!!

Our relationships with our bodies sound so similar. Lately, I’ve adapted the mantra from Kundalini Yoga “I am happy, healthy and holy” to “I am happy, healthy, holy and HOT!”. Somewhere in the last few months, I stopped feeling sexy and that’s NO fun-esp. in the first year of marriage! I’m also treating myself to some Reiki and Matrix Energetics sessions and have had breakthroughs at both sessions.

I’m not sure if either of those things are useful to you. If not, I know you’ll find your way.

    Love and Light! Kitty

My innerds are saying “Thanks for allowing there to be another way of treating me. I know this was hard for you.” (have you read my latest blog?)

    Enjoy the cleaner you!
