Hey, y’all –
Several days ago, on Sept. 23rd, to be exact, I posted on Facebook that there were only 100 days left in 2009. Then, I posed the question, “What do you want to make sure happens this year before time runs out?” I also said that I was pondering the question, too, and would let everyone know what I’d be doing.
Well, it’s now nearly a week later, and I realize that I have putting off making good on that promise. So that is what I am here to do today!
At first, I thought I’d commit to checking in here, on the RiskADay blog, every single day about my risks (and their rewards). But I don’t want to set myself up for failure from the very beginning. So, my real commitment is to write about my risking at least one time a week. If I do more, that’s great. But surely I can do once a week.
What about you? Will you join me? Just think: not only will it feel great to make good on a commitment to yourself, but also have a group of people doing it with you. And best of all will be the progress you will make toward your goals, dreams, etc., by taking the risks! I can’t wait to hear from you (and me)!
Happy risking – and reporting in!

I am risking today by having faith. Faith in the unknown, in the rickety and uncertain future, faith in myself to follow through and live up to my own expectations. Faith. There’s my risk.
Martha – this is gorgeous. Thank you so much for your vulnerability and for reminding us that taking risks isn’t always about DOING something. It can also be about choosing to believe something that is new and scary and has the potential to truly change our lives…
