I have taken a risk in November to create a team to raise funds and compete in the Seattle Big Climb. I sent out an email to a group of people about the idea and I got a great response. We had our first team meeting with 15 people on the interested list. We created a name and a plan of action for training. We will meet twice a week. I have also created a calendar online which I am sharing with the team (I have never done this before).
Another risk is simply doing this blog. Taking time and energy to learn new things, try to stay up with technology, social media. I have also learned to tweet and skype very recently. it is all quite a challenge but also exciting.
Next month, I plan on going to Denver to help my cousin with a brand new baby for a week. I have not had children myself and I, although I love to travel with my partner, am getting to be much more of a home body. So getting out of my comfort zone to help someone else is good for me.

Great stuff, Anita! I have never heard of a race to climb stairs, what a cool event idea. Thanks for telling us about it!
Yeah well, it is a win win, we get to raise money for a good cause, compete in a physical activity and get the commaradie of a being part of a team
Neeter – you never cease to inspire me. Thank you for that, and all you do for me and the world!
