What a cluster ****! I’m on vacation with my best friend. This is our first trip together. Today is our first day, and the internet access at our bungalow isn’t working. I was going to write about the risk I’m taking by traveling with my friend. Who knows what quirks with each may have and how they may rub one another?
My biggest risk, however, is that this`blog will get posted. I’m using the internet at a store, imposing on the good will of the store owner to allow me to use her computer to write this. I’m typing with one hand because I’m holding my wiggly puppy in the other in other one. My risk is that this blog will get through at all, and that my friend doesn’t kill me for all terrible impositions imposed upon her today.

Thanks for going to all the trouble, Rox, to get this written and out to the rest of us. May your vacation be peaceful and pleasurable, and go without a hitch!
Here is a follow-up on all the risks I took on the fateful day of my last blog.
Being willing to risk and trust everyone’s help was huge for me. I do not ask for help easily.
When I risked asking the owner of a local shop, someone I did not know, to use her business computer to send my blog, she agreed (although I am certain she thought I was daft).
I couldn’t remember my log-in information, and I risked that Suzanne Bird-Harris would get my request in time to rescue me and post my blog. She did! Thanks, Suzanne.
My friend, Randy, to my relief, was not annoyed when I asked her if she would type my message for me while I held my wiggly puppy, Ollie.
The risk of taking our first vacation with my friend surpassed all of my hoped for expectations. It was seamless and great fun.
When I risked painting with my friend watching me, I found it did not inhibit me in the least.
The risk of bringing my new puppy on the plane and including him on our vacation brought wonderful rewards. He was a great little traveler on the airplane, and my friend and Ollie developed mutual crushes.
Perfect!
Everything worked out better than I could have imagined. All the risks I took had amazing results. Risks don’t always turn out so well, but that is what makes truly exciting and gratifying when everything works out well.
It was truly a busy, risk-filled day.
