Well, our time in Evanston/Chicago, Illinois has come to an end. For those of you reading my blog for the first time, my husband and I took a summer sublet here, although we live and teach at Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois, a small rural town near the Iowa border.

Earlier I blogged about needing this change of scenery so Michael and I could focus on our new life together, as well as some personal goals, mine being reclaiming my health and inner joy as well as some sense of who I am as an artist and what direction to take next.

All except the ladder was accomplished. I’m not feeling the passion I once felt for performing, but I am envious when I watch others do it. I feel wiser and more confident than ever before, but I don’t feel like I have anything to say that hasn’t already been said. I’m perfectly willing to take the risks that would help move me forward, but I don’t even really know what those risks would be.

I absolutely know though, that when one “puts the energy out there”, it always, always, always comes back. So, consider this my Debutant Ball and public declaration that the Universe is blessing me with creativity and artistic fulfillment beyond my wildest dreams!!

I’d very much appreciate anyone that might help me hold this vision. Oh, and by the way, I LOVE to collaborate, so keep me in mind if you’re looking for an artistic partner. Sending love and gratitude to all you Bloggin’ Babes out there!

risked it ALL and moved to the cornfields of West Central Illinois where she found her dream man and her dream job. She can hardly wait to see what the Universe has in store for the rest of her life and is even more excited to see what happens on everyone else's journeys!! Let's share in each other's joys and sorrows.

Sounds like a major personal shift is unfolding! Always a good thing! Adding a little extra Love and Light to your first aid kit, my soul sister!

Kitty, I felt burned out as a performer for a couple of years. Then a miracle happened: I did a play reading, loved the play and the role, and fell in love with acting all over again. It was really amazing. I was considering lots of other options, and found myself newly committed to my old craft. I hope this will happen for you, or that another, equally exciting, door will open!
